The race to the presidency enters a new stage tonight with the Iowa caucuses. Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley are angling to become the official frontrunner, while the Republican party is much more open.
Republicans still have the following 12 candidates in the hunt: Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, John Kasich, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum and Donald Trump.
CNN, Fox News and MSNBC will be giving full coverage of the Iowa caucuses live tonight. Iowans will head to their respective county locations to cast their votes on who they want to be their party's candidate - with the doors closing at 7 p.m. CT.
Live results should begin around 8 p.m. CT (9 p.m. ET), with all three major cable news channels delivering coverage.
