A slew of brand new Christian Grey candidates have now hit the Internet, as fans continue to frantically search for hints on how the casting process for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie will ultimately unfold.

Following a series of message exchanges with Fifty Shades author E.L. James, a newbie candidate has now surfaced for the role of the S&M-crazed billionaire, Erik Odom of Twilight.

James was recently involved with Odom in some friendly tweeting banter, discussing what seemed to be a fun night out along with what followed after.

Notable producer Jack Morrissey, who was attached to Twilight: Breaking Dawn with Odom, also was involved in the Feb. 19 exchange.

While James' latest communication with Odom and Morrissey doesn't necessarily cement Odom to a Fifty Shades role, it undoubtedly has the validity to cause major speculation.

Other more frequently discussed fan favorites for the Grey role include Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder, White Collar's Matt Bomer, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick, among many other notable talents.

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is in the midst of penning the film script, recently stated that the movie would be staying true to the book with lots of sex and raunchiness, as the producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a previous write-up in Style Magazine.

Although the producers have yet to attach a director to the franchise, the film is now slated for its big screen release in the summer of 2014.
