Johnny Manziel and longtime girlfriend Colleen Crowley called it quits weeks ago, and over the weekend in Texas, the two were involved in a domestic dispute.

According to a TMZ report, the Fort Worth Police Department received a phone call around 2 a.m. on Saturday morning and were informed of a "disturbance" believed to have been between the Cleveland Browns quarterback and his former girlfriend.

As Cleveland.com revealed on Monday, the alleged incident involving Manziel was the second domestic dispute reported in recent months, with the first taking place between him and Crowley on the side of a road back in October.

After the incident was reported, the case was taken into review by the NFL, and on Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns organization released a statement.

"We've been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny's continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization," Sashi Brown, the director of football operations, said in the statement. "His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time."

According to ESPN, Manziel is expected to be released by the Browns in March. However, at this point, no such thing has been officially confirmed by the league.
