So fans who were left wondering why the episode didn't air on CBS, be assured that it didn't slip through the cracks. The episode is actually set to air on February 10. There is no reason for why the network chose to take a week off with the show.

In the episode the BAU will be after a person accused of having held a few women hostage over a few years.

Here's the official synopsis:

"When an 18-year-old girl escapes from a suburban home where she was held captive for years with two other women, the BAU searches for the Unsub who kidnapped them."

In other news related to the show, a much anticipated episode has to to with Derek Morgan (Shemaar Moore). A new TVLine spoiler report Criminal Minds showrunner Erica Messer dished about Derek Morgan's (Shemar Moore) character arc and an upcoming episode dedicated to the character.

"There is a lot going on with Derek," she said. "He's really taking up our emotional head space for a good chunk of this midseason stretch."

In fact a heavy weight has been enlisted to play Derek's father in the episode, titled Derek. TVLine recently revealed that Danny Glover will guest star as Derek's dad in an episode, titled Derek. Showrunner Erica Messer also weighed in on this starry addition for the episode. "It's an interesting role that he plays," Messer said.

"The reason Derek needs to call on this protector in this moment and work through some things is really beautifully written by Breen Frazier, and directed by [cast member] Thomas Gibson."
