It was recently revealed that Joel Kinnaman has joined the cast for season 4 of House of Cards but nothing is known about his role yet.

Hillary Clinton Thinks House of Cards Is 'Bad TV'?

This has raised another possibility in our minds. Around when Neve Campbell's joining the cast was announced there was a rumor doing the rounds that she might play one half of a powerful couple that will challenge and threaten Frank's re-election. The only other actor that was announced as a cast addition at the time was Colm Feore, and we wondered is he might perhaps play that role. But now with the entrance of The Killing's Kinnaman, we think he might make a better match for Campbell on the show, and if the two were to join forces they would look pretty initmidating for Frank, perhaps even be the new Frank and Claire (Robin Wright).

Deadline had hinted that Cambell's character might rival Frank and that fit in with another spoiler relating to a younger power couple being introduced in the Netflix political drama. A Deadline report had also revealed that Feore will be portraying a high profile character in the White House, so seems less likely that he will pair up with Campbell's character. We are rooting for the fictional union of Kinnaman and Campbell on season 4 of House of Cards.
