TLC Songs: Chilli & T-Boz Clap Back At Wendy Williams [VIDEO]
Talk show host Wendy Williams’ comments are starting to get her in trouble with lots of celebrities.
Fans Throw #TLCIsGoingToJail Twitter Party, Claims Group 'Stole' Their Money
In the latest news, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC have clapped back at Williams (Chilli even threatened her) after the host made controversial statements on her daytime talk show.
It all started when Williams was talking about rap group Naughty By Nature starting a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of fans donating and helping them fund a new album, something that TLC did last year.
T-Boz Shames Fans Who Says TLC Stole Money From Them In Kickstarter Campaign
Williams said, “TLC, even though they’re legendary, I look at them in a different lane than I look at Naughty by Nature… Naughty by Nature is not supposed to be doing Kickstart …there are certain people that are so legendary that you can just survive off your old music and tour for the rest of your life...”
Of course many took that as a jab toward TLC.
But she didn’t end there. She went on to point out that the death of the L in TLC, Lisa “Lefteye” Lopes, turned the trio into a duo.
She then revealed that one of her producers, Norman, pledged $10 for TLC’s Kickstarter and was supposed to receive a handwritten note from TLC. What he did receive was a list of TLC’s top songs.
Wendy said, “Nobody signed it. I don’t even know who did the writing.”
And Chilli was the first to hop on Twitter to respond.
“do u really think we care? Even a little bit? She won’t say [crap] 2 our face…I wish a mf would tho”
It didn’t take long for T-Boz to catch wind of what was going on and offer up her own response. She responded to a fan who revealed that what TLC did agree to for a $10 donation was “a PDF of a handwritten list of our top 15 songs of all time…”; which is what is on Norman's paper. T-Boz clarified that it was indeed her hand writing before slightly going off on Williams.
