'Bourne 5' Spoilers: What We Know So Far About The Movie [VIDEO]
In latest news, fans will finally get their first proper look at the Bourne 5 around Super Bowl, as the first trailer for the movie is set to revealed during the event.
In a recent interview with The Wrap, Alicia Vikander spoke about her experience working on Bourne 5.
Vikander revealed that her character will not be toeing the predictable action routine in the movie.
"I'm not doing the conventional action but I'm very action-driven in this film," Vikander said. "But it's not in the way most people would think."
While little is known about the film, Matt Damon did reveal some details in an interview with Variety.
The actor revealed that his character Jason Bourne would have been off the grid for about 12 years when he returns in the movie.
"...you'll find the character--like The Bourne Ultimatum, the third act actually in the movie dovetails with the third act of The Bourne Supremacy. So technically when the Bourne character disappears, it's still 2004," he said. "So when this next one comes out in '16, it will have been 12 years--in movie years--that the character as been off the grid. So what's happened in those intervening years gives you a story."
Damon also spoke about the filming schedule, and it seems like filming might be on its way to completion right about now.
"We started in September but they're going dark for most of December and cutting basically the first two acts," he said. "And then we have the third act and then whatever we owe from the first two acts."
In another interview with BuzzFeed, Damon dished a bit about the movie. "Without giving too much of it away, it's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world," he said. "It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy." Paul Greengrass, who directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, will be helming this installment as well.
The yet untitled movie is expected to release on July 29, 2016. To hold you over until then, here's the trailer for the last Bourne film with Damon, The Bourne Ultimatum.
