Lamar Odom Falls Asleep in Court During Child Custody Hearing With Ex Liza Morales
The 6-foot-10 Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom has been drawing in attention today. Not because of his basketball career or his marriage with Khloe Kardashian, but because he fell asleep on a courtroom bench while lawyers were addressing his child custody case.
According to the New York Post, a Manhattan court officer asked him if he was OK when he was spotted snoozing. After Odom said he was, the officer asked him to sit up.
Odom has two kids, Destiny, 14, and Lamar, Jr., 11, with former long-time girlfriend Liza Morales. Morales, who was never married to Odom, is a star on the reality show Starter Wives on TLC.
The Daily Beast released a written statement from Liza Morales today in which she discusses her feelings about Lamar Odom and losing him to Khloe Kardashian.
"As I continue to move on with my life, it can be difficult to avoid hearing about the Kardashians day in and day out," Morales said. "But I do what I can to ignore the constant chatter and I try to keep it from the kids as well so they can have a life that is as normal as possible. I am hopeful that one day I will have a cordial relationship again with Lamar, but until then I have to think of myself and the future I'd like to have given that I'm still in my early 30's."
