Hulk rumors continue to circulate the Internet at a rapid rate, with the latest news being that Mark Ruffalo has come out to squash the chatter concerning a possible Planet Hulk movie.

Ruffalo took to Twitter on Wednesday and told fans they won't be seeing Hulk again untll Avengers 2.

"I am not giving up on another stand alone HULK. But it's not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring," he tweeted.

Some fans feel as though Ruffalo's comments mean that another installment of Hulk won't be gracing the big screen until after Avengers 2 is already out. However, others still think that Hulk could potentially be witnessed in future cameo roles, according to The Christian Post. The news report predicted that a standalone Hulk film won't be released at least until 2016.

While in attendance at the Glasgow Film Festival, Avengers 2 writer Joss Whedon had the following to say in regards to the complexities of the Hulk superhero character:

"Hulk is a tricky son of a *****. He's the Claudio of superheroes. Because the problem is it's a very popular character, but it's not a superhero. Half of it's a superhero, half of it's a werewolf. And you can't structure it like a superhero movie, you can't light it like a superhero movie. How do you develop that?"

"It would be extremely difficult. The one thing you would have in your favor would be Mark Ruffalo," he added. "But right now I don't know if they have plans to do that or not."
