Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard News: Couple Still In Central America Despite Zika Virus Concerns [VIDEO]
Despite reports that indicated they were back home in Arkansas, it looks like Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard haven't given up on their missionary work just yet. In fact, Derick himself shared in a new blog post that the couple is still indeed living and working in Central America despite growing concerns for the widespread Zika virus that has been taking over the continent for the last several weeks.
According to the couple's official blog, it's been business as usual as they continue to work with the locals and spreading the word of God.
Derick wrote, "For the past month, we have come alongside the S.O.S. (Seekers of Souls) leadership of the existing church where we are serving, as well as begun the groundwork for an additional bible-centered fellowship in another village that has been plagued with violence."
Derick also added that Jill's parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, made a surprise visit last month and that their son Israel is thriving and growing as they prepare to celebrate his first birthday soon.
He added, "Israel just turned 10 months and now enjoys eating fruits and veggies. Some of his favorites are bananas and avocados. He weighs a whopping 23 pounds and is cruising everywhere! We've had to baby proof our house, adding cabinet locks and outlet covers that 'Grandma C' (my mom) sent down. Israel definitely enjoyed all the attention when Grandma and Grandpa Duggar came to visit."
Many fans have urged the couple to leave their work and go back home but so far, the couple haven't indicated if and when they will be back Stateside. Stay tuned with Enstars for all the latest updates on the entire Duggar family right here.
