Rihanna kicked off her Diamonds World Tour on March 8 but things have already gone sour for the singer, as she was forced to postpone her March 10 stop in Boston due to inflammation of larynx, The Daily News reported.

The Nobody's Business singer was scheduled to perform at Boston's TD Garden but contracted laryngitis and will reschedule the performance following doctor's orders.

"#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down," she tweeted to her nearly 29 million followers on March 3. "I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!#DWT."

Live Nation, the entertainment company behind the tour, confirmed the cancellation.

"Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening," a spokesperson said.

Rihanna kicked off the tour on March 8 in upstate New York reportedly in a series of revealing outfits while treating fans to her most popular hits.

"You guys are all rockstars. There is only one first show, you all have a special place in my heart," the star said to the sold-out crowd at Buffalo's First Niagra Center.

The Buffalo News reported that show began a little after 10 p.m., and she was backed by a four-member band, eight dancers and a pair of back-up singers. Rihanna performed a number of songs including Talk That Talk, All of the Lights, Rude Boy, We Found Love, Only Girl, Don't Stop the Music and Where Have You Been. The man behind her sexy outfits, designer Adam Selman, collaborated with the singer on her River Island collection that launched in London this year.

"Her body is so insane," Selman told The New York Times. "It's the dream body to make clothes for. You don't have to try as hard."

Rihanna is scheduled to perform in Baltimore, Md., on Tuesday.
