'America's Got Talent' 2016: Former Contestants Give Tips On Auditioning, 'You Can't Be Afraid Of Rejection' [VIDEO]
Two of the most iconic performers on America's Got Talent gave some insight to hopefuls who plan to make it big on the series.
Simon Cowell Says 'America's Got Talent' Will Be 'Different' This Year
On Wednesday, Palm Beach Post released details from Emil and Dariel Liakhovetski, who were known for their cello playing skills on the talent competition in 2014. They mentioned a couple tips to people who are about to give it their all when they audition.
First thing's first, it's best to remain calm.
Was A One Direction Member Considered For 'America's Got Talent?'
"It really doesn't help you to be nervous," Emil said. "Whatever happens is beyond your control. Just be yourself. There's such a big variety of talent, so there are no guidelines. Just be your genuine self."
Another thing to keep in mind is if the rejection happens, it's actually nothing to be afraid of.
"Remember, you can't be afraid of rejection because sometimes that 'no' means absolutely nothing in your life, no reflection on what you can do," Dariel said.
This rule even applies to Simon Cowell who will be the new judge on the series. In a report from Us Weekly, he explained why he decided to join the show as the new man to give positive words of wisdom as well as speaking it like it is.
"We did actually talk about me doing the show a few years ago, and at the time I couldn't do it," Cowell said. "But having been on the British show ever since it started, every time I used to turn up and watch America's Got Talent, there was a part of me that always thought, 'You know what? It would be a really fun show to do.'"
The new season of America's Got Talent is expected to premiere this summer on NBC.
