Sharon Stone is being sued by her former maid who filed a wrongful termination and retaliation lawsuit against the actress on Monday.

The former employee, Angelica Castillo, claimed that the 55-year-old actress fired the maid after she was injured carrying groceries in June 2012.

Castillo apparently hurt her back while loading groceries into a car for Stone that caused "extreme and severe physical pain," according to the legal complaint.

The maid was cautioned by doctors to take it easy and put on modified duty, according to Radar Online.

However, Stone allegedly denied Castillo's bed rest request, forcing her to continue working even though she was injured.

The legal complaint also cited that there were other employees that were available to do heavy lifting but it was Castillo who had to do the work.

Castillo claimed that Stone called her "crazy" and "stupid" on October 1 for performing her duties slowly due to her back pain, according to The Daily Mail.

Stone then terminated Castillo's employment that same day, and Castillo filed a complaint with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing on October 10.

Angelica Castillo is seeking unspecified damages from Stone.

Stone's lawyer Marty Singer responded to the legal action in a statement to TMZ: "[This lawsuit] is bizarre and ridiculous. Ms. Castillo was never fired, and as of today is still covered by health insurance as an employee of Ms. Stone. We are confident that Ms. Stone will prevail in this meritless case."

Castillo began her work as a maid for the Basic Instinct star in 2010.

This is not the first time that Stone was sued by a former employee.

Legal action was filed in May 2012 by Stone's former nanny Erlinda Elemen who accused the star of racial harassment and sweatshop conditions, according to CNN.
