Rihanna might have broken Michael Jackson’s record for number one hits with her latest song, "Work," but television talk show host Wendy Williams is still not impressed.

“This Rihanna will not be a legend,” she blatantly said during the Hot Topics segment of her show earlier this week. “Nope. Nope. Beyonce will do her residency in Vegas at 55-years-old and you will go see her...Rihanna will attempt to do it and says the B Word better have my money…Rihanna is good for right now. But she’s not a legend. Nor will she be.”

Interestingly enough, Williams’ comments come just after she slammed Rihanna for being a no-show at the Grammys earlier this month. She said in a different show that Rihanna was afraid of what Beyonce would come with, because while it was known that Beyonce would be there, it wasn’t clear if she was actually performing or not. Williams claimed that Rihanna wanted to steer clear of it because she didn’t want Beyonce to “steal the show.”

It looks like that could have been true because another insider has told Page Six a similar reason as to why Rihanna didn’t want to perform on music’s biggest night. Her people said it was because of “bronchitis,” but there’s a different story going around.

“She felt like her performance couldn’t compare [to some of the other artists], and she was trying to avoid the embarrassment because she knew it wasn’t the right comeback performance. She said, ‘I’m not doing this.’”

She apparently was going to sing her song Kiss It Better, but decided not to after seeing people like Kendrick Lamar (whose performance ended up being epic) practice.
