Kevin Hart caused quite the stir when he signed on to present an award at the Academy Awards Sunday. But he made a point of not dwelling on controversy has he introduced The Weeknd to perform the Oscar-nominated song "Earned it" from 50 Shades of Grey.

"Positive overall beats negative," Hart said, before he then took a moment "to applaud the actors and actress of color who didn't get nominated tonight."

"I want them to understand that tonight does not determine their hard work," Hart explained, before calling on the Oscar audience to work to fix the issue.

"Let's not let this issue of diversity beat us," he said.
