They've been taking things extremely slow, but the time will finally come for JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Camila Banus) to take things to the next level in their romance on Days of Our Lives.

The two felt a connection and started seeing one another a few months back, but decided to take things much slower because of the losses they both suffered when Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was terrorizing the town as the Necktie Killer. During his spree, JJ lost his first real love in Paige (who was Gabi's previously unknown half-sister), and needed time to mourn, while Gabi was left reeling after Will was also murdered, meaning her best friend and the father of her child was also gone.
However, despite their losses, the two did manage to find love with one another, and the relationship has steadily grown stronger as time has passed. And now, after waiting for so long to take things to a new level, they may finally decide the time is right and make love to honor their commitment to being together.

It will be a very big step for them both because of everything they've gone through the last few months, and their own personal histories. JJ's romance with Paige was halted by his affair with her mother, Eve, something that tortured him until her death, while Gabi has been reluctant to get too seriously involved with anyone because she has her daughter to consider. But, after overcoming their initial fears, and the challenges that faced their new relationship as a result, their timing is finally right.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
