It has not been confirmed by the stars themselves if they have in fact broken up, but Liam Hemsworth now owns a new home in Australia while Miley Cyrus continues to be based in Los Angeles.

Hemsworth's parents purchased a "bachelor pad" for their son late in 2012 for $1.6 million, E! News reported Thursday. The property sits on 6.2 acres and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, surrounded by sand dunes and a view of the ocean.

A source added that Hemsworth has been staying in the new home as he continues to spend time in Australia without his fiancee. He was spotted this week also buying items for his home, including household cleaning items, food and beverages. Another inside said while he has been spending time with his family in Australia, Hemsworth is in a "relaxed mood" though reports continue to circulate of him and Cyrus splitting.

"He doesn't seem especially sad [or] happy," the source said. "He seems to be enjoying seeing his family as far as we can tell."

Hemsworth flew off to Australia without Cyrus and was photographed on March 9 having a drink with two friends. One insider told Page Six, "He needed to get away from Los Angeles and spend more time with his brother and friends."

A source told People magazine the 23-year-old flew home on March 1 so the engaged couple "could have a break."

On March 6, Cyrus was pictured leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles without her engagement ring. The singer wore jewelry on her left hand ring finger but not the ring Hemsworth proposed with.

"I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining," she tweeted that day. "My new music is gonna shut everyone up. not discussing anything but my music from now on."
