It's not unusual to run into a wall while filming a movie, and Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence did exactly that -- literally.

"I had to do 10 'wall runs,' where you run at the wall as hard as you can to get traction," Lawrence told The Hollywood Reporter. "I ran at it and my foot didn't go up, so I caught the wall with my stomach. My trainer thought I had burst my spleen. I had to get a CAT scan and go into a tube where they put this fiery liquid in your body."

Fortunately, Lawrence was in great shape, noting that she was still "pretty bulked up" from preparing for her role in X-Men: First Class. She was able to work despite being badly bruised, and production went ahead as scheduled. Still, filming wasn't easy. The crew battled 100-degree weather, drenching rainstorms and even bears, 300 of which lived in the woods where the film was shot.

Hunger Games hits theaters March 23.
