Seacrest Hough Split News Update: Julianne Couldn't Handle Ryan's Work Schedule 'He Never Sleeps'
Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough split. News about their break up broke on Friday after People Magazine talked to a source close to the couple. Now, details of their separation are surfacing as it is reported that she couldn't "handle his work schedule.
Seacrest, 38, and Hough, 24 are no longer living together at their California mansion, according to People. On Saturday, US Weekly is reporting that the breakup was inevitable because of the many professional obligations of Seacrest.
"Dude works all the time," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly. "He never sleeps."
"It's a lifestyle she couldn't handle anymore. Work always, always came first [for Ryan] She wants a more lowkey life," the source added.
People Magazine was the first to break the news Friday evening and reports that their source told them Seacrest and Hough are still in regular contact and remain friends.
The two had been dating since April 2010 and lived together in a California mansion previously owned by Ellen DeGeneres.
Hough, who became famous after winning the "Dancing with the Stars" Mirror Ball Trophy in 2007, had recently made comments about the challenges of keeping a relationship alive while having her professional career.
"It's a hard thing to do, especially when you're so caught up in your work and bettering yourself," Hough recently told PARADE. "I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what's really important."
Seacrest has been outspoken about how much he liked Hough. In an interview with Chelsea Handler in January, Seacrest said she was "so beautiful, stunning. She is phenomenal. She's the best part of every day," he said.
When Handler asked him if they wanted to get married and start a family he replied "We both do" but didn't give more details.
