On Tuesday, BuzzFeed had an interview with the reality star where they asked her a number of questions about her time on former reality series The Hills. One of the big questions revolved around her fall-out with Lauren Conrad, her old co-star and best bud. When Montag was asked about the last time she spoke, she said it was about two years ago.
How Did Heidi Montag Celebrate Christmas Last Year?
"We kind of were talking a little and then we both were kind of like, 'We're not friends.' It's kind of awkward," Montag said. "But I do really love Lauren for everything that she has ever done for me and I do have a place in my heart for her. So I am thankful for everything that she's done and I hope she has a great life."
The reality star then admitted that there are some things she would've done differently with Conrad as she looks back at her time on the series.
"I would definitely have stood my ground more with Lauren and just have her be more honest with me," Montag said. "It was really hard getting her to agree to film with me and then once I got there, having her be honest with me. It was just a really challenging time, so I'm a much stronger and different person now, so I feel like I could go more toe-to-toe."
