'50 Shades of Grey Movie Cast: Kate Moss Being Taken Seriously For Anastasia Role? (Video)
The Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation continues to create massive speculation over who will land the role of the college graduate Anastasia Steele, and apparently model Kate Moss is now in the mix.
Moss recently impressed the masses of fans when she seductively read a couple of lines of E.L. James' racy read on a BBC radio station with host Nick Grimshaw in order to raise money for Comic Relief.
The 39-year-old English beauty's depiction of the saucy words went viral, which helped accrue in excess of $376,000 worth of donations for the respective cause.
While Moss is significantly older than the college graduate Steele, who's listed as 22, her portrayal of the part has reportedly made her a favorite nonetheless.
On the Christian Steele front, Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder still appears to be the top contender for the role of the S&M-crazed CEO.
The 34-year-old TV mainstay is also significantly older than the character, who is 27.
Last week, Somerhalder addressed the casting rumors on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live.
"I think they have a very big job ahead of them casting this role. I can't say anything other than it's a very interesting story, and whoever plays that role is going to have a lot of fun [come] rehearsal time."
The Fifty Shades of Grey premise revolves around Steele, who gets herself involved in a dominant and submissive sexual relationship with the billionaire Grey. Through a mutual "agreement," the two delve into the world of bondage and masochism.
Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is in the midst of penning the movie script, recently stated that the flick would be staying true to the book with lots of sex and raunchiness, as the producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a write-up in Style Magazine.
Although the producers have yet to attach a director to the franchise, the film is now slated for its big screen release in the summer of 2014.
