The CW Renewals: From 'Supernatural' To 'The Flash', Network Reveals 11 Series' Fates; Who Made The Cut [POLL]
If you were worried The CW was about to cancel your favorite series, fear not. Television's fifth network is virtually eschewing cancellations as the 2016-2017 season takes shape.
CW President Mark Pedowitz announced 11 early renewals on Friday, and fans couldn't be happier. From the network's longest running series (Supernatural) to it's newest (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Legends of Tomorrow), next season's lineup will be a near mirror image of the current slate.
All four DC series received renewals, with The Flash leading the pack in ratings. As the Scarlett Speedster heads into his third season alongside iZombie, Arrow will hit the five-year mark while Legends of Tomorrow will enter the sophomore class.
Fans of Louisiana's most notorious bloodsuckers will get a fourth season of The Originals and an eighth year of Vampire Diaries. Jane the Virgin (season 3) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (season 2) will hold down the comedy block.
Reign will continue to take you back in time as The 100 paints a bleak yet exhilarating picture of the future for their respective fourth seasons.
Supernatural, meanwhile, will continue as the network's greatest success with a jaw-dropping 12th season! Congratulations to the Winchester boys.
