As new details emerge around Bill O'Reilly's divorce from Maureen McPhilmy, new reports have indicated that the ex-wife once date rapper Flavor Flav.

Maureen McPhilmy, the ex-wife of the Fox News host reportedly dated Flavor Flav before their marriage, according to reports Tuesday.

McPhilmy and O'Reilly, an antagonist of hip-hop music, were married in 1995. It is not certain how long McPhilmy and the former member of Public Enemy and reality TV star dated. O'Reilly, the host of The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News, has repeatedly talked badly about hip-hop artists over the years.

The political TV host is reportedly still in the midst of a nasty battle with McPhilmy, whom he divorced in 2011.

Gawker reported that O'Reilly once went on a rampage to ruin the career of the Nassau County Police detective who McPhilmy is dating. The anchor used his connections with the Police Department to conduct an internal affairs investigation. McPhilmy married the detective at some point after Bill O'Reilly divorced her.

According to reports, O'Reilly even attempted to get McPhilmy kicked out of the Catholic Church.

McPhilmy was formally reprimanded in writing by her church for taking communion in her Long Island parish despite having been divorced and remarried, which reportedly is a no-no to the Pope. The reprimand also gave specific instructions to McPhilmy to stop informing her children that her second marriage to the Nassau County detective is right in the eyes of God. She was warned that if she didn't obey, she would be punished.

Gawker noted that drama ensued in October 2011, when McPhilmy took O'Reilly to court after learning that the woman she thought had been a neutral therapist serving the needs of her children was actually a member of her ex-husband's household staff. The therapist, a Long Island licensed social worker named Lynne Kulakowski, was working long days and some evenings.

At a second hearing in January, McPhilmy's attorney claimed-and O'Reilly's attorney did not argue that Kulakowski was earning a six-figure salary from O'Reilly.

The Fox News personality became separated from McPhilmy at some point in 2010. The two have two children together. The divorced couple agreed to share custody of the kids.

Media outlets have attempted to contact Fox News, O'Reilly's attorney and Kulakowski, but none of them were available for comment.
