'Young and the Restless' (Y&R) Spoilers: Chelsea Gets A Warning About Adam's Intentions With Newman [VIDEO]
She has been in a celebratory mood after her husband not only managed to find a new job outside of his family's company in New York, but also shot down his father's attempt to get him to take control, but Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) will learn that she may not be able to trust Adam (Justin Hartley) as much as she thinks on The Young and the Restless.
After Victor (Eric Braden) was arrested for the scandal involving keeping Jack (Peter Bergman) kidnapped and allowing his doppelganger Marco to wreak havoc in Genoa City and sleep with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), he assumed Adam would fight to take over Newman Enterprises in his place. However, after swearing to Chelsea that he was done with the company and was only focusing on a future with her and their son, he voted to remove his father from the CEO position, and didn't fight his sister Victoria (Amelia Heinle) when she was given the job. Soon after, he learned he got the job in New York, and he and Chelsea started planning for their new life outside of the shadow of Newman.
However, the original plan for them all to move to New York appears to have changed a little bit, as Chelsea will confide in Nick (Joshua Morrow) that his brother will be traveling for work, while she and Connor will stay behind and remain in town. But when she shares this news with him, he will warn her that she shouldn't be so ready to accept that Adam has really given up his desire to be the head of the family company.
"Adam doesn't care," she says in a preview clip for the Wednesday, March 16 episode. "Newman Enterprises is not important to him anymore."
"Leopards don't change their spots Chelsea," Nick replies.
Now, with some fresh doubts potentially planted in her head, Chelsea may begin to wonder if Nick is right, and it could lead to some new problems between her and Adam as a result.
The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
