The Artist's Jean Dujardin won over Americans with his role in the Oscar-nominated movie, but his countrymen aren't thrilled with the actor's risqué movie posters for The Players.

Residents complained about the film's ads which depict Dujardin holding a woman's legs apart along with the tagline "I'm going to a meeting," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Another poster shows a woman allegedly performing a sex act.

The Players, a film about male infidelity, is comprised of multiple short stories with sketches directed by Dujardin and others.

While Studio Cine Live agreed to take down the posters, a French news site said Stephane Martin, head of France's advertising regulation board ARPP, confirmed "[t]here is no pre-control for posters." However, the group "advised JC Decaux, who manages the poster sites, to take [the posters] down."

Dujardin is currently getting ready for the Oscars where he's nominated for "Best Actor in a Leading Role." He recently won Golden Globes and SAG Awards in similar categories.
