Chris Brown And Karrueche Tran Back Together: Singer's Ex Wants To Be Known For More [VIDEO]
While fans got to know Karrueche Tran has Chris Brown’s ex before she began making a name for herself, she said that her former romance with the singer has possibly tainted her career.
Speaking with Hip Hollywood Monday she said it’s “very important” for people to separate her from her past.
“This is the time for me to… I’m a business woman. And I need to present myself in the best way possible… Unfortunately people know me for other things… Certain things they’ve seen in the media or whatever it is. Now it’s very important for me to show my personality and show the woman that I am and the woman that I’m going to be.”
She said that her grind started long before she was “thrust into this situation.”
“I had two jobs. It was on a different scale but I still had that drive. And now it’s time to bring that drive back and just work hard.”
She also spoke out on her manager, Jacob York’s decision to stand up for her on Facebook. He said that her career was going strong before she linked up with Brown.
“Jacob always pushes me to accept how things are and my accomplishments and to be happy and grateful. I like to take the more humble way. The next thing you know people are gonna be like ‘Ohs he’s bragging.’”
She added that many of her social media posts get turned into something negative.
