Fred Armisen is the voice behind the evil genius Krang in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

This revelation was made at WonderCon on the evening of March 25 where Krang was described as the "screechy-voiced brain monster," according to an A.V. Club report.

The latest trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which was unveiled at the Super Bowl on the evening of February 7, gave us a first look at Krang from Dimension X who masterminds the invasion of New York City. This trailer is more on the lighter note, with jokes and banter between the Ninja Turtles and lesser of the serious ominous tones of the invasion, as was the case in the first trailer. Even with the introduction of Krang there is a joke thrown in, as the turtles mess with him.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows has been directed by Dave Green and directed by Michael Bay. Megan Fox is reprising her role as April O'Neill. The other live-action cast also includes Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick, William Fichtner as Eric Sacks, Brian Tee as The Shredder and Tyler Perry as Dr. Baxter Stockman. The voice actors who play the Ninja Turtles have also reprised their roles -- Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo and Jeremy Howard as Donatello.

In an interview with Collider, some of the cast members revealed their hesitation at making the sequel, after the first one, which was directed by Jonathan Liebseman was a big fail with the critics. But they added that knowing what went wrong with the first one has allowed them to improve on the sequel.

"I got to be honest, I was a little nervous about coming back because the first run of this-the first trial run-was pretty tough," Ritchson said.

The actor went onto reveal a bit about new director Dave Green's vision for the sequel.

"To be fair to Liebesman, everybody was trying to figure it out as we were going. And Liebesman had a vision that was different than the final movie, and different than the movie we're making today," Ritchson said. "I think-to Dave's advantage- he desperately wants to make a love letter to the Turtles, the authors (Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird) and the fans. And there's a lot less battle to make it happen."

The movie will open in theaters on June 3, 2016.
