Gwen Stefani Pregnant? Actress Posts Sonogram On Instagram, Blake Shelton Responds [PHOTO]
Either Gwen Stefani is pulling one over on her fans and the tabloids which have claimed she's pregnant with Blake Shelton's baby or she's actually confirming news that she and the country singer are going to be parents together.
The "Make Me Like You" singer took to her Instagram page on April 1 to share a sonogram image of a baby—one which she proudly captioned with "It's a girl!"
The news has put her followers in a bit of a buzz as they've wondered whether or not she and Shelton were actually confirming that they had conceived a child together and their romance was taking that next step.
However, it has since seemed to be confirmed that it is indeed a joke Stefani posted for April Fools' Day—one which pokes fun at the recent tabloid stories which have indicated she and Shelton were expecting a daughter together.
In fact, In Touch, which Shelton is in the process of suing for a false report about his seeking rehab and falling off the wagon after his divorce from Miranda Lambert last summer, released a cover story earlier this week which claimed the couple were happily expecting a girl together, with a story inside that hinted Stefani was freezing her eggs so she and Shelton could conceive a child in the future. The story was swiftly revealed to be false.
However, that doesn't mean Stefani isn't trying to have a little fun with the rumor and poking fun at it, in a similar fashion that Shelton has used before by addressing reports about his life.
In fact, Shelton has also seemingly addressed this latest rumor—and Stefani's joke—on his Twitter account, as fans have bombarded him with tweets about the photo, asking if it was real.
"HA!!!" He wrote in response to a fan who tweeted that the two were a perfect match because they had the same sense of humor.
He also addressed those who were criticizing Stefani for the jokes as well. "I ignore self appointed do gooders who b**ch and moan on social media. Try it. The world gets WAY better," he wrote.
