Ryan Gosling Pistorius & Charlize Theron Steenkamp? Actors Expected To Land Movie Roles, VIDEO
Hollywood is reportedly in the process of developing two screenplays about South African Olympian amputee Oscar Pistorius and the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, with Ryan Gosling and Charlize Theron tied to the two roles.
Steenkamp, 29, was fatally shot by Pistorius at the couple's luxury residence in Pretoria on Valentine's Day. However, the athlete is denying that it was on purpose, claiming he accidentally thought she was an intruder. He is currently out of prison on bail.
According to the Daily Mail, an announcement regarding the movie project is expected to happen soon from one of the undisclosed major film studios.
Although Gosling has recently stated that he would be taking a break from acting, he could very well change his tune to embody the role of the fallen Olympian.
"You've got one of the world's most famous sportsmen under arrest and a beautiful young woman who meets a violent death. Scripts began doing rounds within days of the scandal breaking," said a source of the UK news site.
"Ryan has the kind of quiet magnetism that would make this project work - plus there's some mystery about him. Although Ryan has been saying publicly that he wants to take a break from acting to relax, executives will be falling over themselves to woo him once the scripts are finalized," the source continued.
As of yet, there has been no comment from Charlize Theron's reps on her playing the part of Steenkamp.
