Kanye West Baby Name 'North West' & 'I Am God' Album Name? VIDEOS
Kanye West reportedly has plans to name his next album I Am God, which is slated for release this year.
A source told The Sun that West, 35, is "contemplating" the "half tongue-in-cheek" title which has been deemed controversial. West reportedly toyed with the idea in France during Paris Fashion Week last month.
"Kanye's ego is something else, so he's quite serious about the title," said the source. "He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It's half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true," added the insider.
However, a source close to West debunked the The Sun article and told E! News that plans to call his eighth album I Am God not true.
West first compared himself to a religious figure in his single Jesus Walks when he posed on a crucifix in the official music video. He won a Grammy for the track in 2005. Later, he would appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine wearing crown of thorns on his head with blood-tinged slash marks on his face and chest. The cover story was titled The Passion of Kanye West. The Chicago rapper stated in interviews that he is a Christian who believes in Jesus.
An earlier report indicated that West would name his eighth album Rich Black American.
A screenshot of West's alleged album title ran in a report on Feb. 4. It also included a track listing. If the track list is legitimate, the album will feature guest vocals by fellow rappers Push T, Skrillex and Big Sean and offer song hooks provided by Beyoncé, Florence Welch of Florence Welch and The Machine and Frank Ocean.

According to the same report in The Sun, their source claimed that West is also considering naming his first child who is due in July, North West.
West announced Kardashian's pregnancy during his concert in Atlantic City on Dec. 29. The Watch The Throne rapper told the crowd at his concert, "Can we make some noise for my baby momma real quick?"
