Mike Shouhed Divorce: 'Shahs Of Sunset' Star 'Blindsided By Wife's Filing [VIDEO]
Mike Shouhed claims to have learned of his wife Jessica Parido's divorce filing online.
On Sunday night, the fifth season of Shahs Of Sunset kicked off, and as the season continues, fans will be seeing what led up to Parido's divorce filing in November of last year. Meanwhile, in an interview after her filing, Shouhed opened up about their relationship.
"We knew were going to get married from the first month that we were dating," Shouhed told PEOPLE Magazine in Dec. 2015. "She was the first person that I brought home and we were naming our children within the first several months of being together."
In March 2015, Shouhed and Parido wed in Los Angeles, but sadly, just eight months later, Parido filed for divorce after discovering an old message on Shouhed's iCloud, which confirmed he had cheated.
"It was years ago before we were even engaged. It was a moment of weakness, and I fully regret that it happened," Shouhed admitted.
After learning of her husband's infidelity, Parido immediately moved out of their Los Angeles home, but told Shouhed she would give him a second chance if he agreed to seek therapy to "deal with his demons."
"I was working on myself, and I am a completely different person today then I was three months ago," he said.
However, despite Shouhed seeking therapy, Parido chose to move forward with their split and quickly began dating someone new.
"I didn't even know the divorce was happening until I saw it posted online," Shouhed recalled. "That was how I found out she was divorcing me. I was blindsided."
Luckily, Shouhed has had tons of support from his friends and family throughout the ordeal, and has managed to remain positive about his future.
"I'm looking for closure and each day is getting a little easier for me to heal," he said. "Through therapy, yoga and meditation, self awareness and through realization I have come to a point now in my life where I realize what it takes to be a good partner and everyday I strive to become better. I am on that journey where one day I will be 100 percent again and I am looking forward to that."
