Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin went through a devasting time during Monday night's new episode of Teen Mom 2 season seven.

On the show, fans learned that Lowry had become pregnant during production, but tragically lost the baby.

“We had planned the baby down to a science,” Lowry explained through tears during Monday's episode of the show, via In Touch Weekly. “We didn’t tell anyone we were pregnant. We were gonna announce [the news] on our Christmas cards.”

Lowry and Marroquin went through a rocky point in the marriage while filming Teen Mom 2 season six, but by the end of the year, they had gotten to a much better place in their relationship and months later, they were expecting.

Sadly, however, the pregnancy ended at the end of last year.

While speaking to his wife about the loss of what would have been her third child, Marroquin admitted that he didn't react well to the news, and ultimately took out his frustrations on Lowry.

“I knew it was no one's fault — it wasn't your fault, and it wasn't my fault. But it's crazy — it's like I needed someone to blame," he said. "That was part of the reason why me and you were fighting so much right after the miscarriage. I needed to blame somebody, and I was taking it out on you.”

Also during production on Teen Mom 2, Lowry revealed how her husband's initial reaction to her miscarriage drove a wedge between them.

"I was in the hospital when I first started miscarrying and immediately when I was released, he was like 'Do you want to go with me to get a haircut?'' Lowry recalled, according to a report by the Daily Mail. "And I just looked at him like 'We're not grieving together.' And so that's when things with him spiraled out of control. He was just a different person. He was mean to me, we weren't communicating. He shut down, it was like a light switch, everything changed."
