There has been heavy speculation surrounding the possibility of a spinoff for The Good Wife, as the CBS legal drama comes to a close.

During farewell panels and otherwise the showrunner and some of the cast members have weighed in about the prospect. E!Online caught up with showrunners Michelle and Robert King on the red carpet for the farewell event for the show at New York City's Tribeca Fim Festival.

"I've heard those rumors! I think we have an answer tonight about how many rumors you've been hearing," Robert said. "We're going to answer some with yes and some with no, but it'll be a little bit of a game."

Michelle also chimed in asking fans to "stay tuned."

During the farewell panel at Tribeca, Matt Czuchry, who plays Cary, was also asked about the much rumored about spinoffs based on Cary that might be in the works. Entertainment Weekly reported from the event where Czuchry commented on such a possibility.

"It's such a tough question to ask right now because we just finished on Monday," he said. "On a personal level, we're all trying to gain closure on something that we experienced for seven years. With that, we've just put in so many hours and so much dedication into the material and there's been a lot of sacrifice that goes into that. So right now, my brain is trying to wrap itself around, 'Okay, what kind of closure do I need personally to get to that next place professionally?' And it's not a way to avoid the answer. It's just an honest answer in saying that it takes a lot for us to invest in these characters and invest in this time. It's going to take an equal amount to decompress and cleanse from that experience."

The finale of Season 7 will air on May 8.
