Jenelle Evans Twitter: 'Teen Mom 2' Facing Jail Time Afte Alleged Jessica Henry Assault [VIDEO]
Could Jenelle Evans be heading to jail? Although the Teen Mom 2 star is currently facing 30 days behind bars, a source claims she may be let off of the charges due to her ex-fiance's alleged lies about the case.
According to a new report, Nathan Griffith, who was engaged to Evans until they split last summer, was reportedly caught lying about an incident that happened between Evans and his new girlfriend, Jessica Henry, in Aug. 2015.
“On the video that the cops have, Nathan is clearly heard telling them that he didn’t see anything because he was loading things into the truck,” a source who has seen the video told Radar Online on Wednesday.
However, as the report explained, Griffith later claimed he watched Evans throw a glass at Henry's head -- and if he sticks to the story he will be "busted" for lying.
Weeks ago, Evans spoke to PEOPLE Magazine about the incident between her and Henry.
"She went to step out of the truck, so I went to go throw water on her and the glass slipped out of my hand and hit her on my head. Then when I turned around to go away to walk back inside, she threw the glass at me."
Prior to her upcoming court date, Evans attempted to convince Henry to drop the case against her but was unsuccessful.
"I said: 'Look, if you're going to be with her for the rest of your life, we all have to get along,'" Evans said. "He doesn't want to drop it – or he said that she doesn't feel like she should drop it because 'no one like me' should get away it, 'a person like me' shouldn't get away with something like that."
In a surprising move earlier this year, Evans requested a jury trial, in which six people will examine Henry's assault case against her and determine her fate. She is due in court on Friday.
