Heidi Klum and Bodyguard Save Son and Two Nannies From Drowning in Hawaii
Model and TV personality Heidi Klum's family vacation in Oahu, Hawaii took a dramatic turn on Sunday when her son, Henry and two of her kids' nannies were swept by a riptide.
Klum, 39, and her bodyguard boyfriend were able to save her son and the nannies from drowning, according to Us Weekly.
The Project Runway host and her children, Henry,7, Leni, 8, Johan, 6, and Lou, 3, and Klum's boyfriend Martin Kirsten have been in Hawaii since March 24, starting their vacation in Honolulu.
Klum told the magazine, "We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely."
Since early March, Klum has been added as a judge on the NBC television show America's Got Talent. She said in a statement that she was excited to join the panel. "I love the surprise element of the show and not knowing what we'll see next and who will wow us," she said according to the magazine.
Klum is joining radio show host Howard Stern, former Spice Girl Mel B, and television personality Howie Mandel. Season 8 premieres on June 4 at 8 p.m.
