'Fast and Furious 8' Spoilers: Latest Cast Additions To The 'Furious 7' Sequel [VIDEO]
The producers of Fast and Furious 8 have been furiously recruiting a host of impressive actors for the film lately.
Recently, a bunch of big names have joined the Furious 7 sequel, and their addition to the cast will surely up the game. The most illustrious of the lot is Charlize Theron, who is going to be playing a villainous role in the movie.
Theron's record playing gritty roles, most recently blowing audiences minds away as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. She has also just reprised her role as the steely Queen Ravenna in Huntsman: Winter War.
Theron will be in good company as Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju is set to star as the lead antagonist in the Fast and Furious 8.
The movie will also star an up and coming actor, one to definitely watch out for, Clint Eastwood's son, Scott. Scott has got a few films under his belt, with some exciting new releases coming up with Suicide Squad and Oliver Stone's Snowden. The announcement was made via Fast and Furious's official Twitter page. The only detail that was revealed about Scott's role was th fact that he will be playing a protege to Kurt Russell's Mr. Nobody.
In rumors of actors that could join the franchise, Helen Mirren has been on top of the list as she expressed her wish to be part of the franchise sometime last year. Recently, the movie has earned another candidate.
In a recent interview, Tom Hiddleston expressed his inclination to be part of the franchise, revealing he is a huge a fan of the series. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the actor made the surprising revelation.
"In fact, I was just telling someone how much I love Furious 7," he told the magazine. "And they said, 'Are you kidding me?'. Dwayne Johnson flexes his arm, breaks open his cast and then says, 'Daddy has to go to work' - if you don't love that, I don't know how I can appreciate you as a human being."
Hiddleston could definitely fit the mold, and we are thinking more in a villainous role. Hiddleston's role as Loki from the Marvel movies gives him enough experience to crush in Fast 8.
Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.
Furious 7 opened in theaters on April 3, 2015.
