In episode 7 of Teen Mom 2 season 4, which aired on Monday, Jenelle Evans and her new fiance had an altercation that ended up placing them both in jail not long after he proposed to her.

Evans has been dating an old friend, Gary Head, ever since her estranged husband Courtland Rogers abandoned her shortly before she suffered a miscarriage in January.

During Monday's episode, Head casually proposed to the reality star in bed after they discussed trust issues and said to each other "I love you." After Head gave her an engagement ring, which she described as "simple and to the point," Evans called her mother Barbara Evans to tell her the "good news."

Barbara reminded Jenelle that she and Head are "always fighting," so she wasn't sure if it was a good idea for them to get married.

Later, Jenelle and her husband-to-be had an argument that resulted in her locking him out of the house and he subsequently kicked the front door. Despite the drama, Jenelle said she still "feels a future" with him.

Head left and came back to the house with a new puppy as a gift for the reality star but not long after, the couple had another heated argument that turned into a physical fight. The couple got arrested and ended up in jail after the altercation. In court, the judge granted each of them a "no contact" order and Barbara bailed Jenelle out of jail.

When they get to Jenelle's house, her and her mother gathered Head's things help kick him out. Jenelle later told her friend Tori that Head strangled her with a blanket and hit her repeatedly, which left her with bruises all over her body.

The episode aired several days after Radar Online published a video of Jenelle snorting drugs, taped before she became a reality star. A friend of hers told the website Janelle is aware the video exists, that it was taken a "long time ago" and that Janelle thinks that it's "stupid."

"The video was taken a long time ago, before Jenelle went to rehab and stopped doing drugs," a friend of the Teen Mom 2 star said. "She said it was stupid. She was obviously not doing great when that was shot and it was mean of someone to take that video of her. But now she's better and isn't doing drugs anymore."
