Prince Death Update: Did Singer Die From AIDS, Been 'Preparing' To Go For A While? [VIDEO]
A report claims that Prince may have died from AIDS.
According to the latest report from The National Enquirer, the late singer contracted HIV in the mid-90s, but that turned into AIDS just six months ago.
With more details released in Thursday's report from Daily Mail, sources are supposedly saying that Prince's health was getting worse and he had been "preparing to die for a while."
"Doctors told Prince his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees," the source added. "He was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented. He rarely ate and when he did, it all came right back up. His face was yellowish, the skin of his neck was hanging off and the tips of fingers were a brownish-yellow."
The tabloid also claims that Prince was addicted to Percocet to help his pain in the last months of his life. It was also mentioned that he would go into Walgreens to pick up his prescriptions where an employee seemed worried for him.
"We were all just shocked that he came in last night looking so beat. We said, 'We are praying for you,'" the employee reportedly said.
According to the site, this was Prince's response:
"Maybe if you prayed for me a year ago it'd be different right now."
TMZ has reported that the singer was addicted to Percocet years before he died. Apparently he suffered from hip problems where he had surgery in 2010 and then got into the drug. The site claims he was prescribed with the painkiller in 2009 before the surgery.
TMZ previously broke the news that Prince allegedly almost died from a Percocet overdose just six days before his death last week.
