Savannah Berry 'The Voice' VIDEO: Wows Judges, Teams With Blake Shelton
Aspired singers auditioned for The Voice on Tuesday, with one contestant, Savannah Berry wowing the judges within the first few notes.
The 17-year-old from Houston sang Safe and Sound, by Taylor Swift, causing three judges to spin around and watch in awe as her family and audience members cheered her on.
Adam Levine turned around first, with Shakira and Blake Shelton following closely behind.
"I be the only idiot that didn't hit my button," Usher said afterwards, according to a report by Gossip Cop.
When Levine and Shelton began their usual competitive banter, Shakira interrupted them, saying, "These two guys. Three seasons already. They're jaded. They're almost deaf." She added that Berry can "win this competition," saying, "I know I'm gonna win this season and I'm gonna win it with you," according to the report.
Berry decided to team with Shelton.
The young star was discovered through YouTube, after Sugarland saw the YouTube video she had posted of Stuck Like Glue, and recruited to perform a duet with the band during the Academy of Country Music Awards.
When Berry said her influences are Sugarland and Miranda Lambert, Blake pointed to his wedding band, reminding everyone that he's married to Miranda. "I'm fascinated by your voice, I really am," Blake said, according to Idolator. He then made an offer to adopt Savannah, and she made her decision to team up with the artist.
