Christina Aguilera Husband: 'The Voice' Coach Produces 'Tracks' With Matt Rutler [VIDEO]
Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler may not be planning to get married anytime soon, but they are working as a team.
As Aguilera prepares to wrap up the 10th season of The Voice, she and her fiance are getting ready for the debut of their new series, Tracks, which will be aired on Spike TV sometime later this year.
"Christina Aguilera (The Voice) is executive producing music-based game show Tracks for Spike TV," Deadline reported in March. "The project, produced by Mission Control Media and MX Productions in association with Lionsgate, is slated to premiere later this year as a half-hour special on the network."
Along with Aguilera, Rutler is billed as an executive producer on the upcoming series, along with his company, MX Productions.
“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track – with a twist – since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song,” Aguilera said in a statement. “I’m excited to have Tracks debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate.”
Aguilera has been dating Rutler since shortly after her split from Jordan Bratman, with whom she shares one child, son Max. In February 2014, Aguillera and Rutler became engaged and in August of that same year, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Summer Rain.
Speaking of wedding plans last year, Aguilera admitted she was focused on other things.
"Having just moved into a beautiful new home we call 'the Sanctuary,' having a baby, and now being excited to get back to work, I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date," Aguilera explained to E! News. "When the schedule is more clear and I can take some downtime again, I can focus on that. Our love is secure enough that we don't need a wedding to prove our love and commitment."
