Chris Brown Justin Bieber Comments: "I Pray For Him" (VIDEO)
Chris Brown has been promoting his new single Fine China through a series of interviews in the past week and in the latest chat, he discussed his friend Justin Bieber.
Brown, 23, opened up about his concern for the Boyfriend singer on New York radio station Power 105.1's Breakfast Club on Tuesday. In the chat, the Don't Judge Me singer compared himself to Bieber and said that because of the teen heartthrob's recent troubles, he prays for him.
"I pray for him, I pray for myself," Brown told Power 105.1.
Brown said he and Bieber share the unfortunate common experience of dealing with media scrutiny as successful singers.
"I think we both go through it because we're great artists and he's a big artist to his fans," Brown told the radio station.
Brown said he believes that Bieber's recent tiffs has more to do with his age and net worth and he knows that because he went through the same thing.
"[He's] being young [and] having a limitless amount of income to do whatever you want to do as a young guy," he said. "You don't have nobody that's going to say, 'hey bruh, you look whack right now.' For me, I had the people that said it....it got through eventuality."
Brown also addressed reports that Bieber's troubles may stem from his close pal Lil' Twist who has been considered a bad influence on the Canadian singer in reports. Rihanna's paramour thinks it has more to with Twist's ethnicity. Bieber's friend, the aspiring rapper, is African-American.
"I feel like the mainstream media ... I just feel like they're gonna target the little black boys around him and say, 'Hey, so this is why he's doing it.'"
Enstars reported that Brown may have helped Lil' Twist get away when he crashed Bieber's Fiska Karma last month.
Bieber and Brown have been friends for a long time. They recorded a song together in March 2011 called Next 2 You which was on Brown's F.A.M.E. album. And Brown appeared on Bieber's track, Together Forever.
Bieber recently said that he was fan of Brown's and defended him in an interiew. "Chris Brown. I'm a fan. His music is really good. That's what they should focus on: his music," the "Biebs" told Billboard.
