'Hollywood Exes' Cast Members: Fans Think Prince Should Have Stayed With His 'First Love' Mayte Garcia [VIDEO]
Mayte Garcia still seems to have nothing but love for her ex-husband, late singer Prince. And fans have expressed that’s why they think the two should have never divorced anyway.
She shared a cover of his Mayte and Me project Friday, causing fans to relive the love they once shared in the public eye.

“I truly feel Mayte and Prince were the love of each others life.”
“They should have always been together…”
“I never saw him as happy as he was when he did an interview with Oprah about the baby [and] Mayte. His life was perfect.”
“I always felt like you were his one true love.”
Garcia, who was the influence behind Prince’s hit The Most Beautiful Girl, met Prince when she was just 16. He was 32. They tied the knot on Valentine’s Day of 1996 but separated just four years later. Shortly after, she began seeing famous rocker Tommy Lee. Garcia and Prince had a child, Boy George, together. But he died just one week after his arrival.
She said back in June of 2015 that they had spoken five years ago.
“There is no animosity or bad blood,” she told Mirror last year. “He was my husband and the father of my child. So although I am not actively in love with him, I will always love him – he’s a great guy.”
It’s not clear if they had spoken before he passed away on April 21.
