It looks like Amal Clooney is having a tough time winning over any new fans these days. In fact, make that both Amal and her husband, Hollywood actor George Clooney. The pair are getting slammed by the public for what many people are calling their "hypocritical" and "excessive" Hillary Clinton fundraiser that they hosted last month to help raise funds for the Democratic Presidential candidate.

According to the Daily Mail, many fans are none too happy over the fact that the Clooneys charged a reported $353,400 for anyone who wanted to sit at their table for the fundraiser. And somehow it worked, as Bruce Bozzi, who is the owner of The Palm restaurants, along with CAA super agent Bryan Lourd forked up the cash for the fundraiser.

Bozzi shared a photo of both gentlemen along with Hillary Clinton and Amal and George Clooney on his Instagram account which he posted a reply to another user's comment by writing "Last I remembered...we live in a democracy. Happily you are able to vote with the best candidate that resonates with you! Funnily name calling and referring to me as a douche seems to be common place with other people running for office this year! I am only disappointed that anyone sharing our world together would be so rude and call me a slanderous name. Have a great weekend! #unfollowaway."

Many comments under the photo included, "When I first saw that photo i almost threw up. Hard to tell who's the biggest phony in that bunch. George pretending to be a straight actor. Amal pretending to be a lawyer. And Hillary pretending to be a champion of the little people," along with, "All I see are dollar signs and hypocrites. What in the world is Amal doing there?"

Another follower wrote, "Rich ger richer and the poor stay poor. Help yourself, government in it for life folks never will."
