Corey Simms' wife, Miranda, celebrated her first Mother's Day on Sunday.

After welcoming daughter Remington Monroe Simms in November of last year, Miranda was joined by family and friends to celebrate the holiday.

On Instagram, ahead of their family festivities, Corey's father, Jeff, posted a special message for Miranda, which read, "Happy first Mothers Day, Miranda!"

Corey and Miranda tied the knot in June 2013 and although they went through a difficult time later that year when Corey engaged in an affair with his ex-wife, Leah Messer, they remained married and welcomed their first child together two years later.

Since then, the couple has reportedly pulled back on their roles on Teen Mom 2.

“Corey feels MTV did him dirty,” a friend of Simms old Radar Online in March. “He thinks they had the perfect opportunity to show viewers, ‘This is what happens when you get on drugs, this is the reality.’ Instead, they made it seem like Corey was constantly attacking Leah for no reason.”

During Teen Mom 2 season six, Messer was seen nodding out and slurring her words, but when it came to an explanation for her behavior, she claimed she was suffering from anxiety and depression and shot down allegations of drug use from both Simms and her second husband, Jeremy Calvert.

“Corey told MTV just what he thought about the situation, and said that he and Miranda would not film nearly as much as in past seasons,” the friend explained. “Producers understood.”

Although rumors have been swirling in regard to Simms' possible exit from the show, there has been no official word yet on who will be a part of the series' upcoming Teen Mom 2 season eight cast.
