Chris Brown, Frank Ocean Fight: Beef Continues With Grammy 2013 'Sympathy' Diss [VIDEO]
Chris Brown and Frank Ocean's feud continues to get publicly addressed though it happened months ago.
Only a few days after saying that he respects Ocean's music, Brown used a recent interview with Hot 97′s Angie Martinez as an opportunity to take a hit at Ocean, with whom he got in a physical assault with in January.
Brown referrenced Ocean's 2013 Grammy nod. The Forrest Gump singer won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for No Church in the Wild and was nominated for Best New Artist and Record of the Year. Brown, who was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album, said in his interview with the radio station that Ocean got Grammy recognition because he knows how to get "sympathy" from people.
"There's a lot of strategies people try to use when they're up for awards," Brown said. "You know? It's the sympathy role. I don't have to go that route. I just do my music and do my thing. For [Ocean], it's whatever. Love your music, bro! Have fun."
Martinez asked Brown if he really does enjoy Ocean's music, to which Brown responded with a helpful "Nah."
The conversation also turned to Drake, another artist who Brown was in a physical assault with. When both rappers were in the same New York nightclub in the summer of 2012, Brown reportedly sent a bottle over to Drake's table and Drake confronted Brown and argued with him about Rihanna, whom has been linked to both artists.
The Don't Wake Me Up singer said in the radio interview, "We don't see eye-to-eye. Me and Drake. I can say his name. I don't care...We're never gonna see eye-to-eye."
"I don't really try to talk about about him when I'm around her," Brown added. "I just do my thing. I just lay the pipe. I don't talk... I don't pillow talk."
When asked if his feud with Drake is about Rihanna, Brown replied, "It's about everything."
