Chris Brown Drake Diss: 'R.I.P' Remix Pokes Fun Post Fight and Brown Calls Him 'Stupid' [VIDEO]
Chris Brown and Drake got into a physical assault in summer 2012 but the Don't Wake Me Up rapper is not willing to drop the subject anytime soon.
Brown's latest diss at Drake is in the remix of Young Jeezy's R.I.P track. Brown recently said he thinks Drake's "music's still hot" but also admitted that he might continue to talk badly about the fellow artist, and that a rebuttal would be "stupid."
"Dearly departed, I bought a plane I departed/ And if you started from the bottom, go on and come out the closet," Brown rhymed on the song's final verse, making a reference to Drake's latest single, Started from the Bottom.
Brown had a radio interview with Sway in the Morning on Shade 45 and said anyone who thinks of coming back at him with jabs is not wise.
"You can't take me serious, I'm not a rapper." Brown said. "'Cause, I know aint nothing gonna happen so I say whatever I want. Rebuttals is gonna be stupid, I'm not a rapper. So you're gonna be stupid rapping back to a singer, but I'ma keep coming ni--a, I don't care."
In a different radio interview recently, Brown said he and Drake will always have opposing views.
"We don't see eye-to-eye. Me and Drake. I can say his name. I don't care...We're never gonna see eye-to-eye," he said, adding that their feud is not only about Rihanna but "it's about everything."
Drake addressed the infamous fight in his own lyrics, MTV noted. While performing Enough Said in August 2012, he rapped, "Running through the city with n---as I'd give a kidney/ Selling under 150, you n---as gotta be kidding." The statement was believed to be a direct reference to Brown only selling 135,000 copies of his Fortune album in its first week of sales.
The feud stemmed from a physical assault the two artists were in back in June 2012. When both rappers were in the same New York nightclub, Brown reportedly sent a bottle over to Drake's table and Drake confronted Brown and argued with him about Rihanna, whom has been linked to both artists. Drake first punched Brown in the face and threw a bottle at him, and Brown hit back.
According to some reports, the fight started when Drake sent over a note to Brown that read: "I am fu--ing the love of your life," and drove him into a rage.
