Keyshia Cole And Bow Wow: Singer Reaches Milestone After Drama With Actor [VIDEO]
Keyshia Cole could really use some support after her shaky ending with Bow Wow. And it looks like it came just in time.
Keyshia took to Instagram to reveal that she has met and is building a relationship with her birth father. Keyshia was adopted by a couple in California as her birth mother, Frankie, struggled with drug addiction. While Frankie is a celebrity in her own right after starring in multiple reality shows with Keyshia, and even having her own spinoff at one point, Keyshia never had a relationship with her father; until now.
She shared a photo of a man on Instagram and revealed that it is her father.
“While in NYC I was overwhelmed with emotion, I explained while on stage at the Barclays, the situation I was faced with at that moment, which was, my father and I finding our way to each other after 34 years,” she wrote. “I knew at that time, a paternity test was in place, and the results are in, and this is my father!!”
She went on to explain that his name is Virgil Hunter and she has gone to her native city, Oakland, Calif. to “get to know him.”
She added, “The story behind this is beyond me!!! God has his hands in all this!!! I’m so excited, So excited with taking this a day at a time!!!”
