Shakira fired back on April 6 at the recently filed court documents against her by ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua, who is suing the singer and claiming he is entitled to a portion of her money.

De La Rua said because he worked as Shakira's business manager while the two were dating he has the right to some of her earnings, according to Perez Hilton. However, Shakira isn't giving in and wants the lawsuit pitched.

In response to the suit, Shakira recently claimed she was already an international star when she met Antonio in 2000. While Shakira took de la Rua's advice in certain situations, she claimed he was not her manager and she didn't sign any contract that stated he was, according to the report.

Shakira and her ex-boyfriend split in 2010. Antonio was Shakira's business partner, according to Perez Hilton, and in 2004 she reportedly asked him to take over the Shakira brand. Now, after waiting a couple of years, he is looking to get paid.

A document was signed by both de la Rúa and Shakira in 2006, stating the couple would "keep their own assets" if they went their separate ways, according to TMZ. Shakira has reportedly provided the court with this document -- and if that's the case, her ex might be out of luck.
