Former porn star Jenna Jameson was allegedly arrested for fighting over the weekend while celebrating her birthday in California.

TMZ reported that Jameson went out to celebrate her birthday on Saturday at Heat Ultra Lounge on Orange County. Although details are not clear on what actually went down, the site reported that Jameson got out of control and allegedly hit someone around 8 p.m. before the party started.

There is no word on the club's official Facebook page whether she showed up to the party or not.

Newport Beach police Lt. Evan Sailor said the alleged victim put Jameson under citizen's arrest until police arrived at the home on the upscale Balboa Peninsula on Saturday night. Sailor said Jameson knows the victim, but he does not know what their relationship is.

Jameson, 38, whose real name is Jenna Marie Massoli, was given a court date to face a misdemeanor battery charge and was released on her own recognizance.

The Daily Beast reported that when police did not release information about the incident, the adult movie actress took to her Twitter account to explain why she acted out. She said her unruly behavior was a result of her being robbed by a friend who broke into her home and "took everything."

Jameson added that the friend "accused me of gusting her." The tweet is not longer visible on her page.

This isn't the first time the adult star has beeen in trouble.

Jameson was arrested for DUI last year, after she crashed her car into a light pole. The porn star leaded guilty and was sentenced to three years of informal probation and was given a $340 fine. She was also ordered to participate in a Mothers Against Drunk Driving "victims' impact panel."

In a 2004 interview with CNN after the release of her book, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, Jameson said she chose the right profession as a porn star.

"I mean, I've always been so overtly sexual. And I've always been driven to succeed at something that hasn't always been accepted by the American public," she told CNN's Anderson Cooper. "So I think I chose the right profession."

Jameson will turn 39 years old on April 9.
