'50 Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Casting Directors Salivating Over Poppy Delevingne For Ana? VIDEO
The Fifty Shades of Grey casting process continues to heat up at a rapid rate. While a slew of names have already come up in terms of prospective Anastasia Steele's, a new potential candidate has recently made her way into the running for Anastasia Steele in model/actress Poppy Delevingne.
The 26-year-old natural beauty is currently being salivated over by casting directors for the highly coveted role, reported Daily Mail.
The site reported that the easy on the eyes Delevingne, the current face behind Louis Vuitton, is looking to become a full-fledged actress much like her 20-year-old sister Cara.
"Poppy is increasingly keen to succeed as an actress in light of her sister's success. She feels that the time is right to redefine herself professionally," said a source of the site.
Some other notable actresses who appear to be fan favorites in the competition for the part of the shy, college alumni include former Gilmore Girls' standout Alexis Bledel, Lucy Hale of Pretty Little Liars and Harry Potter's Emma Watson, amongst several others.
The Fifty Shades of Grey premise revolves around Steele, who gets herself involved in a dominant and submissive sexual relationship with the S&M-crazed billionaire Christian Grey. Through a mutual "agreement," the two delve into the world of bondage and masochism.
Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is in the midst of penning the film script, recently stated that the movie would be staying true to the book with lots of sex and raunchiness, as the producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a previous write-up in Style Magazine.
Although the producers have yet to attach a director to the franchise, the film is slated for a big screen release in the summer of 2014. A recent interview conducted by Delevingne can be viewed below.
